Dr. Herwig received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry where he graduated with Distinction. He is a member of the Honorary Dental Society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon, and a member in good standing of the American Dental Association and the Kansas Dental Association. He is currently the secretary of the Kansas Dental Association.
Dr. Herwig is a member and past president of the 5th District Dental Society of Kansas. He successfully completed advanced studies in restorative dentistry and TMJ disorders at the L.D. Pankey Institute in Key Biscayne, Florida. He is a member of the Kansas City Dental Implant Society and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
Dr. Herwig works closely with other dental and medical professionals to provide his patients with a "team" approach in achieving and maintaining optimal dental health.
Dr. Herwig gives back to the community by particpating in Donated Dental Services and the Danforth Foundation.
